Innersloth Unveils ‘Among Us 3D’, Bringing New Dimension to Popular Game
Innersloth, the developer behind the hit game ‘Among Us’, has announced a new addition to their franchise: ‘Among Us 3D’. This latest iteration offers players a first-person perspective in a three-dimensional world, similar to the VR version launched in 2022 but without the need for a headset.
The new game will feature cross-play capabilities between PC and VR platforms, including Meta Quest, Steam VR, PlayStation VR 2, and PICO. While the original 2D version of ‘Among Us’ will remain available, it will not support cross-play with the 3D version.
Although Innersloth has not yet announced a specific launch date for ‘Among Us 3D’, a demo will be available during Steam Next Fest starting Monday. The full game is expected to be released on Steam shortly.
In addition to the new 3D environment, the game will introduce a new in-game currency called “stardust”. This currency will be used exclusively for purchasing cosmetics in ‘Among Us 3D’ and will not be required for accessing game modes or features.
As part of this launch, Innersloth plans to rebrand the VR version of ‘Among Us’. The company has also released a roadmap detailing upcoming features and updates for the game.
This announcement marks a significant evolution for the ‘Among Us’ franchise, potentially attracting new players while offering a fresh experience for existing fans. As more details emerge, the gaming community eagerly anticipates the release of ‘Among Us 3D’.
