
EY Entrepreneur of the Year awards recognise founders and leaders from across the island of Ireland who are making a mark at home and abroad. 29 people representing 25 companies were shortlisted across three categories – for emerging, established and international businesses. OneProjects founders Fionn Lahart and Christoph Hennersperger were the winners in the emerging entrepreneur category. McKay was one of the founding members of Texthelp, which was set up in 1996 to help people with communication difficulties. The company now employs 350 people and has doubled its turnover since 2020. Many of the finalists collectively have revenues in excess of €1bn, and two of this year’s winners are from the indigenous technology industry – a true testament to the resilience, diversity, and continued strength . . .
