Moscow emphasized that trade links with Tehran continue to develop, highlighting the growing economic relationship between the two nations.
Concerns have been raised within Iran’s security apparatus regarding potential infiltration by Israeli agents. These worries have intensified following deadly attacks on Lebanon’s Hezbollah earlier this month. In response, Iranian officials have launched a large-scale operation to inspect all communication devices the Revolutionary Guards utilize.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov addressed the Reuters report, focusing on the expanding trade and economic ties between Russia and Iran. Peskov stated, “The volume of trade between our countries is growing mutually,” underscoring the strengthening bilateral relationship.
In a related development, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin is set to visit Tehran on Monday. During his trip, Mishustin will talk with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and First Vice-President Mohammad Reza Aref. This diplomatic mission is part of ongoing efforts to bolster relations between the two countries.
As tensions in the region persist, the international community continues to monitor the evolving dynamics between Iran, Russia, and other global powers. The outcome of the upcoming talks in Tehran may provide further insight into the future of Russian-Iranian cooperation and its potential impact on regional stability.
