Reolink Unveils Altas Series: Cutting-Edge Surveillance Cameras with Extended Battery Life
Reolink, a leading provider of home security solutions, has announced the launch of its new Altas series of consumer-oriented surveillance cameras. The innovative line promises to revolutionize home monitoring with its impressive battery life and advanced features.
The standout feature of the Altas series is its ability to provide continuous video recording to a local SD card for up to seven days on battery power alone. For users preferring motion-based recording, the battery life extends to an impressive two years. These cameras can also connect to Reolink’s Home Hub for centralized video storage on a home network, eliminating the need for subscription fees.
Powered by a substantial 20,000mAh battery and equipped with a new ultra-low power chipset, the Altas cameras offer unparalleled longevity. For even more extended use, optional solar chargers (6W or 12W) can provide indefinite runtime.
The Altas series comprises three distinct models. The Altas Go PT boasts a 360-degree view and 4G connectivity, while the bullet-style 2K Altas offers Wi-Fi connectivity. The updated 4K Altas PT Ultra features a more power-efficient chipset. All models include two-way audio capabilities and are equipped with a 1/1.8-inch image sensor and F1.0 aperture for superior night color recording.
A notable feature across the series is the 10-second prerecording function for motion-triggered modes, ensuring users never miss crucial moments. Local video storage options include up to a 512GB SD card or Reolink hub solutions.
Complementing the Altas series is the Reolink Home Hub, a user-friendly video management solution. Supporting up to eight Wi-Fi cameras with 1TB local encrypted storage, the hub ships with a 64GB SD card and is expandable with two 512GB SD cards. It’s compatible with various smart home systems and connects to Wi-Fi routers, communicating with cameras over specific frequencies for Europe and the US.
The Altas cameras with 24/7 recording capabilities are set to launch in Q3, while the Home Hub is available now for $99. With these new offerings, Reolink continues to push the boundaries of home surveillance technology, providing users with powerful, flexible, and cost-effective security solutions.
