Police charge suspect arrested in General Motors assembly plant death in Orion Township

A 48-year-old man has been charged with open murder in connection to the death of Gregory Lanier Robertson. Neither the suspect nor Robertson were GM employees. Both men worked for a cleaning service at the General Motors assembly plant in Orion Township. The suspect faces life in prison if convicted, the suspect is scheduled to be arraigned Saturday. The two men were working in a dock area at the time of the assault at 1:37 a.m. Thursday morning at GM’s Orion Assembly plant in Michigan’s Orion Township, police say. The incident occurred at 1.37 a.m. after a report of an injured man was reported to the police who found Robertson dead at the scene. The suspect was found nearby. . . .
