Nintendo has announced its latest venture into the world of sleep technology with Alarmo, a charming alarm clock that aims to bring a touch of gaming nostalgia to morning routines. The device, set to release in early 2025, promises to transform wake-up calls with interactive scenes from beloved Nintendo franchises.
Alarmo takes the form of a red cylindrical unit featuring a prominent white button and a 2.8-inch LCD. Users can choose from five game themes, including popular titles such as “Breath of the Wild” and “Super Mario Odyssey,” with characters responding to user movements thanks to an integrated millimeter-wave motion sensor.
The alarm functionality boasts 35 video game scenes of varying intensity, designed to rouse even the heaviest sleepers. A flashing top button adds an extra layer of attention-grabbing capability. Alarmo also offers customizable alarm schedules and tracks sleep times, though it lacks synchronization with other devices or apps.
