Getty Images has forbidden the upload and sale of illustrations and / or photography that has been generated using AI image tools such as DALL•E, Midjourney (opens in new tab), Stable Diffusion, Jasper Art and Artbreeder-collages. Images that have been generated by AI software are currently being listed for sale online via global stock-stock sites such as Getty, iStock, Adobe Stock and iStock. PurplePort, Newgrounds and Shutterstock have also banned all AI-generated content that were created using AI tools. Google has developed its own Imagen AI software that is not yet accessible to the public due to safeguarding concerns.
