Genki Unveils Innovative Moonbase Power Strip with 240W Charging Capability
Genki, known for its gaming accessories, has announced its entry into the power strip market with the launch of the Moonbase. This new device offers a comprehensive charging solution, capable of powering up to seven devices simultaneously.
The Moonbase features a unique design, measuring approximately 7.7 inches in length. It incorporates three AC outlets on its top surface, specifically designed to accommodate larger adapters. These outlets boast a transparent design with color-changing LEDs, adding a visual flair to the functional device.
On the side of the Moonbase, users will find four USB-C ports, collectively delivering a total power output of 240W. When utilizing two ports, the device can provide a maximum output of 140W to a single device. With all four ports in use, two can deliver 100W each, while the remaining two offer 20W each.
Genki has employed energy-efficient GaN technology in the Moonbase, enhancing its power delivery capabilities. The company is currently accepting preorders for the Moonbase through Indiegogo, with an expected delivery date set for April 2025.
Early adopters can secure the Moonbase at a preorder price of $88, while the full retail price is set at $120 for the power strip alone. For those seeking a complete package, Genki offers an option to purchase the Moonbase with their Moonlink USB-C cables for $129.
The Moonlink cable set includes three 100W-capable cables in varying lengths (1-foot, 3.3-foot, and 6-foot), as well as a Moonlink+ cable that can handle up to 240W and features a built-in LED display for power draw monitoring. These cables also incorporate built-in lighting for easier connection in low-light conditions.
As Genki enters the competitive power strip market, the Moonbase’s combination of high power output, multiple charging options, and aesthetic design may appeal to tech enthusiasts and those seeking efficient charging solutions for multiple devices.
