Free N95 masks available starting this week for residents in Durham, Orange counties

Orange and Durham counties will be able to pick up free N95 masks beginning this week. Orange County Public Library and Inter-Faith Council for Social Service sites will begin operating Monday. Durham County libraries will be open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m., Friday through Saturday and Saturday. Orange county Optum Serve sites will also be open to anyone getting tested at a Durham County Optum site can pick up a mask. “It would be a lot easier because they’d be everywhere to just pick up — so I think I’d just start wearing them as well,” Durham County student Eleanor Morris-Benedict said. “We are thrilled to partner with the Durham County Library Director. . . .
