Elon Musk is under investigation by federal authorities for his conduct in connection with the acquisition of Twitter, a newly-unsealed court document revealed yesterday. Twitter’s lawyers filed a petition asking for ‘all communications with any governmental authority concerning the merger’ since July. The extent of the investigation is still unclear, but the letter mentions both the SEC and the FTC. Musk’s lawyers told Bloomberg that Twitter’s executives are under federal investigation, but declined to elaborate on that claim.
