Valerion Unveils Swappable Lens Feature for VisionMaster Max Projector at CES 2025

In a surprising move at CES 2025, Valerion, a sister brand to AWOL Vision, announced a significant upgrade to its VisionMaster Max projector. The company introduced a new swappable lens feature, typically reserved for professional-grade home theater hardware, offering users enhanced setup flexibility.

The VisionMaster Max, initially revealed at IFA 2024, has been a flagship product in Valerion’s ultrashort throw (UST) projector lineup. Launched via Kickstarter last October, the original model boasted an impressive optical zoom capability, accommodating image sizes from 40 to 300 inches.

With the introduction of alternate lenses, users can now adjust image size and projection distance to suit various installation environments without compromising resolution. This feature addresses a common challenge in home theater setups, where room constraints often limit projector placement options.

The upgraded VisionMaster Max retains its $3,999 price point, maintaining its position in the high-end consumer projector market. While Valerion has not yet announced additional lens options or pricing, they showcased an alternative lens with a 1.3-2.1:1 throw ratio at CES, complementing the stock lens’s 0.9-1.5:1 ratio.

The technical specifications of the VisionMaster Max remain impressive. The 4K triple laser projector delivers 3,000 ISO lumens brightness and features AI upscaling for lower-resolution content. It supports IMAX Enhanced, Dolby Vision, and HDR10 Plus standards, ensuring top-tier visual performance across various content types.

Gamers will appreciate the low input lag mode, supporting refresh rates up to 240Hz at 1080p resolution. The projector’s all-in-one design includes built-in 12-watt speakers with DTS:X and Dolby Audio support, eliminating the need for external audio systems in some setups.

Connectivity options are robust, featuring three HDMI ports (one with eARC support), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and ethernet. Running on Google TV, the VisionMaster Max supports popular streaming apps like Netflix, Disney Plus, and Amazon Prime Video, offering a comprehensive entertainment solution.

As the home theater market continues to evolve, Valerion’s introduction of swappable lenses to the consumer projector space marks a significant step towards bringing professional-grade flexibility to home users. This development could potentially reshape consumer expectations in the high-end projector market.
