
Investors are anticipating Fed Chairman Jerome Powell’s latest comments on inflation at the central bank’s annual Jackson Hole economic symposium. The S&P 500 closed down 1.29% on Friday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 292 points, or 0.86%, and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 2.01%. St. Louis Fed President James Bullard said in an interview last week that he is considering another 0.75 percentage point interest rate hike at the September meeting. Palo Alto Networks and Zoom Video are expected to report results Monday after the bell. The earnings front is expected to be the focus of the earnings front, with Zoom Video set to announce results Monday at the end of the trading day at the close of the market.
