The winners were announced at an awards ceremony at the Powerscourt Hotel in County Wicklow last night. Martin McKay, the founder and CEO of the company, Texthelp, has been named the International and overall 2022 EY Entrepreneur of the Year. Tom O’Connor and Kieran Cusack co-founders of Conack Construction were named the named Established Entrepreneur Of The Year. The Limerick-based company was founded in 2008 at the onset of the financial crisis. It now employs 350 people and has doubled its turnover since 2020. A new Sustainability Award category was introduced this year recognising the importance of innovation leadership in meeting sustainability challenges. Two of this year’s finalists were from Ireland’s indigenous technology industry. . . .
