LastPass Hacked for the Second Time in Six Months

LastPass, the password manager, has been hacked twice in six months. A hacker accessed “certain elements” of “customers’ information,” the company says. No customers’ passwords were impacted by the incident, but the company implied that it’s not totally sure what customer information was viewed (and presumably stolen) LastPass has had its share of security problems, including a mysterious security issue back in 2011 to a hacking episode in 2015 to vulnerabilities discovered in 2016, 2017, and 2019. Gizmodo has reached out to LastPass for more details and will update this story if they respond to the company’s response. It’s part of a longstanding pattern of cyber faux pas year or two. . . .
