Infiniti Unveils Revamped 2025 QX80 Luxe: A New Contender in the Luxury SUV Market
Infiniti has launched its latest iteration of the QX80 Luxe, positioning the full-size luxury SUV as a formidable competitor against industry stalwarts like the Lexus LX and Cadillac Escalade. The 2025 model, building on recent updates from 2024, aims to elevate the QX80’s status in the high-end SUV segment.
A recent test drive of the four-wheel-drive QX80 Luxe revealed significant improvements in design, technology, and ride quality. The base rear-wheel-drive model starts at $83,450, while the top-spec 4WD variant is priced at $90,200, placing it competitively within its class.
The QX80’s interior has undergone a substantial upgrade, featuring a luxurious and spacious cabin loaded with cutting-edge technology. Dual 14.3-inch screens and a 9-inch touch control screen dominate the dashboard, complemented by improved ergonomics, ample storage options, and ambient lighting.
Externally, the QX80 showcases Infiniti’s “Artistry in Motion” design language, with a bold, distinctive appearance highlighted by a large double-arch front grille. This eye-catching aesthetic sets it apart in the luxury SUV market.
Under the hood, a 3.5-liter, twin-turbocharged V6 engine replaces the previous generation’s V8, delivering 450 horsepower. Fuel economy ratings for the QX80 Luxe are competitive within its segment.
The QX80’s ride quality is enhanced by an electronic air suspension system, offering adjustability for improved aerodynamics, easier entry and exit, and off-road capabilities. The driver’s cockpit features a digital instrument display, a heated steering wheel, and an optional head-up display.
Infiniti’s latest InTouch infotainment system, displayed on a 14.3-inch touchscreen, integrates Google Maps, Google Assistant, and Amazon Alexa, along with wireless connectivity options. Comfort is prioritized with tan leather-upholstered seats, featuring extensive adjustability for the driver.
The second row boasts heated and power-operated captain’s chairs, while the third row offers ample legroom for a full-size SUV. A standard panoramic glass moonroof adds to the spacious feel of the interior.
Cargo space is generous, with various seating configurations and an additional underfloor storage area. Convenience features include remote engine start via key fob and a 14-speaker Klipsch audio system in the Luxe trim.
Safety and maneuverability are enhanced by an Invisible Hood View camera system and a 3D Around View Monitor. The QX80 also boasts impressive towing capacity, supported by a special drive mode and camera assistance.
Standard safety features include adaptive cruise control and lane-centering technology, with an available upgrade to ProPilot Assist 2.1 for hands-free highway driving under certain conditions.
With these comprehensive updates, the 2025 Infiniti QX80 Luxe aims to redefine luxury in the full-size SUV market, offering a compelling blend of style, technology, and performance.
