Asia-Pacific region broadly retreats, with Australia’S&P/ASX 200 closing 2.3%. European markets also retreated, with the Stoxx 600 index losing about 1.3%, according to analysts. Investors are pulling back from stocks, including in markets in Asia and some Chinese shares, says HSBC’s Herald van der Linde.
