Lenovo Unveils Practical Updates to Notebook Lineup at Mobile World Congress

Lenovo has announced a series of practical updates to its notebook lineup at the Mobile World Congress, focusing on enhancing portability, performance, and versatility for business and professional users.

The company introduced three key models: the lightweight ThinkPad X13 Gen 6, the convertible ThinkPad T14s 2-in-1, and the high-performance ThinkBook 16p workstation.

The ThinkPad X13 Gen 6 has been redesigned as an ultraportable slim business laptop, weighing just 2.05 pounds, down from its predecessor’s 2.25 pounds. This makes it lighter than Apple’s M3 MacBook Air. The device offers processor options including AMD Ryzen AI Pro 300 series and Intel up to Core Ultra 7, with configurations of up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 2TB SSD. It also features replaceable battery options of 41Wh or 54.7Wh. The X13 Gen 6 will be available in North America starting June 2025, with an expected starting price of $1,139.

Lenovo has transformed the ThinkPad T14s into a 2-in-1 convertible, featuring a 14-inch WUXGA touchscreen with up to 500 nits brightness. It can be configured with Intel Core Ultra 7, up to 64GB RAM, and 1TB storage. The device offers a Wi-Fi 7 upgrade and optional 5G connectivity, along with a user-replaceable 58Wh battery. It will be available in North America from June 2025, starting at $1,719 for the 2-in-1 version and $1,674 for the notebook version.

The ThinkBook 16p Gen 6, while not available for North America, is designed as a high-performance desktop replacement. It boasts a 180W system TDP, upgradable to 200W in “Geek Mode,” and supports Intel Core Ultra 9 processors and Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 GPU. It offers up to 64GB DDR5 RAM for demanding tasks like AI and rendering.

Lenovo also announced the launch of ThinkPad T14 Gen 6 and T16 Gen 4 in North America in May, with Ryzen Pro AI 300 or Intel Core Ultra options. The company is introducing affordable options with the ThinkPad E14 Gen 7 and E16 Gen 3, launching in Q2 for $849 and $859 respectively. Additionally, the ThinkBook 14 2-in-1 Gen 5 will be available in Q2 for $1,374.

These updates reflect Lenovo’s commitment to providing practical, performance-driven solutions for a wide range of professional users.
