Scientists Name Funky Worm Amphibian After Weird 70s Funk Song

A new species of amphibian has been discovered and named after a peculiar funk song from the 70s. The newly found creature, dubbed “Funky Worm”, was uncovered by scientists who were fans of the track that inspired its name.

The discovery is particularly exciting because it is one of only a handful of ancient amphibians to be unearthed in recent years. It dates back to around 165 million years ago, during the Jurassic period – making it an incredibly rare find for paleontologists!

What makes this particular fossil so special is not just its age but also how much information about its anatomy can be gleaned from studying it. Its long legs suggest that Funky Worm was adapted for life on land rather than in water like most other amphibians at the time; while features such as bumps on its skull indicate that it had excellent hearing capabilities too! This gives us valuable insight into how these creatures evolved over millions of years and what kind of environments they lived in before going extinct.
