Amazon Ends Free Grocery Delivery for Select Prime Orders

Amazon has recently announced a change to their delivery policy for Prime members ordering groceries. Starting now, orders under $150 will no longer qualify for free shipping. This is a significant shift from the previous policy of offering free delivery on all grocery orders placed by Prime members.

The new fee structure applies only to items purchased through Amazon’s grocery store, and not other products available on the site such as electronics or books. Customers who place an order over $150 will still receive complimentary shipping, but those with smaller orders must pay a fee that varies depending on location and order size.

This announcement comes shortly after Amazon increased its annual membership cost from $99 to $119 in May 2018, citing rising costs associated with providing services like two-day shipping and streaming video content as reasons behind the increase in price tag. Despite this recent move by Amazon which may leave some customers feeling frustrated about having to pay extra fees for certain deliveries, it appears that they are attempting to offset these costs while continuing provide quality service at an affordable rate overall – something many shoppers have come rely upon when shopping online via Amazon Prime!
