Unlock the Potential of XDA Developers

Formatting a USB drive on Windows 11 is an easy task that can be done in a few simple steps. XDA Developers are here to show you how it’s done.

The first step is to plug the USB drive into your computer and open File Explorer, then right-click on the device and select “Format” from the menu. From there, you will see several options for formatting your device such as NTFS or FAT32 file systems. Select whichever one suits your needs best and click “Start.”

Once this process has been completed, all of the data stored on the USB will be erased so make sure any important files have been backed up before continuing with this procedure! After clicking “Start” again, Windows 11 should begin formatting your device which may take several minutes depending on its size. Once finished, you’ll now have a freshly formatted USB drive ready for use!
