Tableau Software CEO Mark Nelson steps down

Mark Nelson is stepping down as CEO of Tableau Software, less than two years after he took the helm. Nelson will not be replaced directly, as his team is being integrated into the broader Salesforce product and engineering teams. Tableau generated $516 million in revenue for Salesforce in its third fiscal quarter, up 8% year-over-year and making up about 15% of Salesforce’s total quarterly revenue of $7.8 billion. Salesforce co-CEO Bret Taylor unexpectedly announced Wednesday that he was also stepping down, effective Jan. 31, effective January 31, 2019. Nelson joined Tableau in March 2021, filling a vacancy created when his predecessor, Adam Selipsky, was named CEO of Amazon Web Services. . . .
