Meanwhile, Samara’s prefab tiny homes are positioned at a higher price bracket, with a studio unit starting at $269,000. The CEO of Samara is of the opinion that most customers are not seeking ADUs for additional income streams; instead, they envision these spaces being utilized as personal offices or guest accommodations. This shift in perspective underscores a growing trend where ADUs are no longer just seen as rental properties but as functional spaces that cater to diverse needs and lifestyles.
