Scientists have recently discovered that our toilet paper contains toxic “forever” chemicals, also known as PFASs. These chemicals are used in the manufacturing process of some toilet papers and can remain present in the environment for long periods. Studies show that these toxins may be linked to serious health issues such as cancer, thyroid disease, fertility problems, and more.
The government is now trying to figure out what steps need to be taken to protect consumers from potential harm caused by these potentially dangerous substances found in our everyday products like toilet paper. In addition, they are looking into ways of reducing or eliminating their presence if possible.
In the meantime, experts recommend being mindful when purchasing items like this and looking for labels indicating a product is free from PFASs whenever possible. Alternatively, you could consider switching over to alternative options, such as bamboo-based or recycled materials, which do not contain any of these harmful compounds at all so you can feel better about your purchase decisions while still taking care of your hygiene needs responsibly!
