‘We decided to significantly reduce the promotion of the event’ ‘We wish to be sensitive to major world events happening at this time and those impacted’ Pokémon Scarlet & Violet was due to be announced yesterday but was unable to postpone the pre-scheduled event. The Pokémon Company has released a statement saying that it wished to be’sensitive’ to real-world events taking place right now. It is presumably a reference to Russia’s ongoing invasion of its neighbour, Ukraine, which is said to be ‘inconvenience to our global audiences’ The announcement was made to not heavily promote the announcement and fans were given the option to tune in if they chose to do so. The company has not commented on the speculation surrounding the announcement. . . .
