Poco Unveils F7 Ultra: A Striking Flagship at Competitive Price
Poco, the smartphone brand known for its value-driven offerings, has introduced its first “Ultra” branded phone, the Poco F7 Ultra. This new device aims to shake up the affordable flagship market with its high-end specifications and eye-catching design.
The F7 Ultra stands out with its vibrant yellow color option, positioning itself as a bold choice in the smartphone landscape. Priced at £649 (approximately $835), it offers a compelling package that challenges more expensive competitors.
At the heart of the F7 Ultra lies the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. This combination promises top-tier performance at a fraction of the cost of traditional flagships. Poco has also committed to four Android updates, surpassing some rivals in terms of long-term software support.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the F7 Ultra’s triple rear camera system, featuring a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens, and a 32MP ultrawide camera. Initial impressions suggest decent detail and color accuracy. For selfie lovers, a 32MP front-facing camera is included.
The device boasts a 6.67-inch OLED display with 1440p resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Battery life shouldn’t be a concern with its 5,300mAh capacity, supported by 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. The F7 Ultra also carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and utilizes Poco’s Shield Glass for screen protection.
Design-wise, the F7 Ultra is available in yellow and black, featuring glossy camera detailing. At just 8.39mm thick, it maintains a slim profile while emulating flagship aesthetics.
For those seeking a more budget-friendly option, Poco also introduced the F7 Pro at £499 (around $645). While it uses the older Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and has some camera downgrades, it offers a larger 6,000mAh battery.
Both the Poco F7 Ultra and F7 Pro are now available in the UK and Europe, offering consumers high-performance options at competitive price points.
