Real estate website Zillow recently released its list of the best cities for first-time buyers in 2021 and highlighted some key factors that make them great places to buy a house.
At the top of their list is Charlotte, North Carolina which offers an abundance of affordable housing options with median home values at $223K compared to other large cities like Los Angeles or New York City which have median values over $600K! Additionally, Charlotte has low unemployment rates and strong job growth making it easier for prospective homeowners to find work in order to keep up with mortgage payments if needed.
Other notable mentions include Indianapolis Indiana; Tampa Florida; Nashville Tennessee; Austin Texas; and Denver Colorado all offering similar benefits, such as lower-than-average prices and high employment rates, making them ideal locations.
