Alabama Minority Business Development Agency will hold an open house Thursday. The center offers consulting and other services in-person and online. Last year, minorities in Alabama owned 21.9% of the state’s businesses. It is tailored toward businesses that are already operating and looking to scale up. The event is open with limited seating. You can register for it here for the open house at CREED 63 at 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; you can sign up for the event. The center is managed by Walker’s Legacy, an initiative for multicultural women that takes it name from Madam C.J. Walker, a self-made millionaire who became a philanthropist and activist. The event will be open. . . .
