Siobhan Llewellyn, a millennial who quit her six-figure job, has found that the temporary financial strain was worth it after she was able to start her dream business. After suffering from burnout at work and feeling completely lost in terms of identity, Siobhan took on a part-time job as an interim measure while she plotted out her next move.
The decision to leave such a lucrative position wasn’t easy for Siobhan but ultimately proved to be the right one. For those considering making similar changes in their lives or careers, Siobhan encourages them to take risks when they feel ready: “It’s okay if you don’t know what your end goal is yet – just trust yourself and go with it.” Her advice comes from personal experience; although there may be some short-term financial hardship involved in pursuing your dreams, ultimately it will all pay off in the long run when you’re living life on your terms without regretting missed opportunities or unfulfilled potentials.
