
MIT announced five multiyear flagship projects in the first-ever Climate Grand Challenges initiative. The project is one of five flagship projects recently announced by the MIT Climate Grand Challenge initiative. This article is the third in a five-part series highlighting the most promising concepts to emerge from the competition, and the interdisciplinary research teams behind them. The goal of the project is to eliminate reliance on the historical record by emphasizing the laws of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics in next-generation models. The team will receive additional funding and exposure to help accelerate and scale their project goals, the team will be selected from a field of almost 100 submissions, and receive more funding to help speed up and scale the project goals.
