Georges Media Group Shakes Up Leadership: New Publisher and CEO to Drive Innovation and Growth

Georges Media Group Announces Leadership Changes

Georges Media Group, Louisiana’s largest locally owned media company, has announced significant changes to its leadership structure. Kevin Hall has been promoted to the role of publisher, succeeding Judi Terzotis, who will transition to the position of chief executive officer.

Hall brings over 25 years of experience in media operations to his new role, with a strong focus on business and sales. Having previously collaborated with Terzotis at Gannett and USA Today Network, Hall is well-positioned to lead the company forward. In his new position, he emphasizes the importance of innovation and understanding the needs of both audiences and customers.

“Our priority is to grow our online and print audiences while diversifying our revenue strategy to adapt to market changes,” Hall stated. He expressed enthusiasm about the company’s future and the strength of the team he will be leading.

Terzotis, in her tenure as publisher, has been instrumental in expanding Georges Media Group from a regional to a statewide media presence. Under her leadership, the company launched The Shreveport-Bossier City Advocate, its fourth newsroom. Terzotis also assembled a nimble and focused team that has driven significant business growth.

“I have full confidence in Kevin’s leadership and the direction of our company,” Terzotis said, commenting on the transition.

Georges Media Group, founded by Dathel and John Georges in 2013, has grown substantially since acquiring The Advocate in Baton Rouge from the Manship family. The company now publishes multiple outlets, including The Times-Picayune, NOLA.com, and several other prominent Louisiana news sources.

John Georges, co-founder of the media group, praised Terzotis’ leadership team and Hall’s understanding of community needs. “This transition represents a new chapter in our company’s growth and commitment to serving Louisiana,” Georges stated.

As Georges Media Group enters this new phase of leadership, the company remains focused on its mission to provide high-quality journalism and media services to communities across Louisiana.
