Los Angeles Entrepreneur Transforms Event Staffing Industry with Premier Staff
Daniel Meursing, CEO of Premier Staff, a luxury event staffing company in Los Angeles, has turned his humble beginnings into a thriving business venture. From living frugally with his mother to running a company on track to surpass $1 million in revenue, Meursing’s journey exemplifies the power of perseverance and adaptability in the competitive world of event management.
Meursing’s career began in New York, where he signed with New York Model Management in 2015 at the age of 19. His experience as a “model server” and brand ambassador for a friend’s staffing company laid the groundwork for his future endeavors.
Returning to Los Angeles in 2019, Meursing faced initial challenges, working as a mortgage lender while taking on event staffing gigs. His breakthrough came when he received an opportunity to staff art parties, leading to the establishment of Premier Staff in October 2019.
The early days of Premier Staff were marked by struggles in finding reliable staff and managing events. However, Meursing’s dedication to reinvesting earnings into the business and focusing on website optimization and Google Business listings helped secure clients and build momentum.
The COVID-19 pandemic presented significant hurdles for the fledgling company, halting revenue in 2020 and forcing Meursing to temporarily return to mortgage lending. However, the business rebounded strongly in 2021 when a significant client request kickstarted a period of rapid expansion.
Post-pandemic success included staffing a large wedding, which led to numerous referrals and substantial growth. Premier Staff’s revenue soared to $250,000 in 2021, with notable events such as The Kid LAROI’s party contributing to its rising profile. The hiring of the company’s first full-time employee marked a crucial step in scaling operations.
Recent years have seen continued growth, with revenue reaching approximately $950,000 in both 2022 and 2023. Meursing’s focus has shifted to strengthening infrastructure and internal systems, aiming to surpass the $1 million revenue milestone.
Meursing attributes much of his success to self-honesty and a willingness to realign his focus as CEO. By overcoming growth caps and strategically hiring a sales and marketing team, Premier Staff achieved $250,000 in revenue by mid-February 2025, setting the stage for further expansion.
As Premier Staff continues to make waves in the luxury event staffing industry, Meursing’s story serves as an inspiration to aspiring entrepreneurs, demonstrating the impact of resilience, strategic planning, and adaptability in building a successful business.
