Cleveland entrepreneur puts a new spin on outdated school backpack with new Wearpack

Chad Porter invented the first Wearpack in his dorm room as a sophomore at The Ohio State University. Porter has since trademarked the “Wearpack” name and created the ‘ChVd Justin’ brand. Porter received $25,000 from the Cleveland FutureLAND President’s pitch competition. The Wearpack is a versatile detachable front handbag and backpack combined as one with an adjustable shoulder and waist bag. It’s lighter and easier to carry, lighter than the traditional, bulky backpack, Porter says. The product is available in college campus bookstores and online at chvdjustin.com/the-wearpack.com.
