
Feudal Japan has been a consistent setting for action games for a long time. Ghost of Tsushima won players over by simply being the old school Assassin’s Creed game they’d wanted for years. Tsushima has its own self-importance, but it’s also willing to just let loose and be silly as it wants. More than anything, that should it stand out with Sucker Punch’s Tsushima’s end up brushing shoulders with what we need to know about what we’ll be playing a shinobi. Just because we’ll be playing shinobi doesn’t mean we have to be self-serious about it, it doesn’t mean it’�t take itself seriously about it and its writing. . . .
