To be frank, our industry is quite antiquated when it comes to the use of bleeding-edge technology. It is akin to a reactive approach to technology as opposed to a proactive one. Not only does this enable us to leverage these new technologies and bring them to market faster, but we are also enhancing our customer’s experience with these types of services.

My background has certainly provided a multifaceted perspective. This diversity of experience has been instrumental in shaping innovative strategies, guiding the company’s trajectory, and navigating the complexities of different industries.
I like to think that it is because of my background and diversified interests that our team was able to pursue such innovations in our field. For example, we know there are many software developers, there are many management consultants, there are many data scientists, and there are quite a handful of marine surveyors. However, there are not many individuals who take a keen interest in all four of these roles. Realistically speaking, there is no nascent demand for the convergence of these four roles, which is needed to leverage AI to focus on such a niche sector like ours. It goes back to that “you don’t know what you don’t know” philosophy.
